Preparing for a Vastu consultation

Start with how you use the space, prepare a simple plan and agree what can be discussed over video.

Begin with the space and your question

Tell Acharya Tarun whether you want to discuss a home, shop, office or another space. Explain how it is used and the concern that brought you to the consultation. An existing apartment with shared walls needs a different conversation from an empty plot or a planned building.

Vastu is a traditional field concerned with buildings and the organization of space. Historical texts discuss directions and layouts, along with symbolic and ritual ideas. Ask which suggestions come from Vastu tradition and which concern practical use of the space. Claims about health, wealth or success are not guaranteed results.

Prepare a simple plan

Use an existing floor plan if you have one. Otherwise, a clear hand-drawn layout can give the initial discussion a starting point. Mark the entrance and the rooms. Mark north if you know it, and say when the direction is only approximate. An unclear orientation should be checked rather than treated as a precise measurement.

Note how each room is actually used. For a workspace, describe where people work and where storage or customer access is needed. Include any restrictions that matter, such as a rented property, shared areas or features that cannot be moved.

A few relevant photographs may be useful. Avoid including people, identity documents or other private details. Agree on a private way to share any plans or photographs before sending them. There is no need to send a full address or unrelated property documents for the initial question.

Ask what can be assessed over video

A video conversation can be used to discuss a plan and the information you provide. It cannot independently verify every measurement or hidden condition at a property. Ask which suggestions depend on checking the site and which can be considered from the available plan.

The online price covers the video consultation. It does not include a site visit or building work. Acharya Tarun is based in Raipur; services needing physical presence generally cover Chhattisgarh. Travel elsewhere must be discussed separately, along with availability and fees.

Keep construction and safety decisions with the right professional

Do not remove walls, alter wiring or make structural changes solely from a Vastu discussion. Building safety and required approvals need appropriately qualified professionals. Tell them about any suggestion before arranging construction.

In the consultation, ask whether a proposal involves a change in room use, a symbolic practice or actual building work. Check the cost and feasibility before agreeing. You can also explain if a change is impractical for your family, tenancy or budget.

Leave with a clear scope

Ask what was discussed from your plan, what needs further checking and whether any next service is being proposed. A pooja, site inspection or construction project requires its own agreement. You should understand the scope before paying for additional work.

If you are unsure whether a video consultation suits your question, email consult@acharyatarun.com before booking. A brief description of the property type and your question is enough to begin that enquiry; keep sensitive documents for an agreed private channel.
